2 DECEMBER 1571: THE BURIAL of Sir William Parr, 1st Marquess of Northampton | tudorqueen6 | Laid to rest in St. Mary’s Collegiate Church, Warwick, England. The only commemoration of Northampton in St. Mary's is a stone tablet. Northampton was not a rich man at the time of his death and all expenses were paid in full by Queen Elizabeth I. Northampton was buried near the illustrious Beauchamp tomb which features effigies of his paternal ancestors.
